One of the most profound synchronicities of my life occurred on September 7, 2013—a day that would reinforce my belief in the unseen forces guiding us.
It was a sunny, peaceful Saturday afternoon, and I felt drawn to revisit a book that had once shaped my perspective: ‘The Power of Praise’ by Merlin Carothers. I had first encountered Carothers’ work in 1983, when I stumbled upon his writings in a Melbourne bookstore. His insights had a profound effect on my outlook, offering guidance and direction at a critical point in my life.
Yet, over the years, while his teachings remained in my memory, I hesitated to revisit his books due to their strong religious undertones. That Saturday, however, something urged me to pick up ‘The Power of Praise’ once more.
An Unexpected Discovery
As I opened the book, a Dreamworld yearly pass belonging to my wife bearing her name and date of issue being September 7, 1998 were evident.
I stared at the date in shock. Exactly fifteen years ago, on this very day, that pass had been issued.
The realization struck me like lightning. What were the chances that, out of all days, I would happen to choose this particular Saturday to reopen this particular book—and in doing so, uncover a card with a date mirroring the present moment?
It was an undeniable synchronicity.
Instantly, I knew: I was meant to reread this book. I was meant to believe.
A Call to Faith
For years, I had wrestled with doubts about the miracles associated with praise. But as I sat there, holding that card, I felt an overwhelming certainty—the spiritual world was calling me to step forward in faith. This was no coincidence; it was an invitation to embrace gratitude and praise wholeheartedly.
