Is our human existence the only reality? Is death the end of reality, or does another reality exist beyond our human experience—one that has always been and will continue beyond our earthly journey?
From my perspective, the more spiritual encounters I have, the more I realise that we are alive within two dimensions. – an earthly dimension and a spiritual dimension. It seems that at our core, we are spiritual beings inhabiting human bodies—eternal in essence, yet finite in an earthly existence. Our human lifespan is but a fleeting moment in the greater expanse of our spiritual journey.
Until a person moves towards a spiritual awakening, the person’s focus remains mainly on the physical world, bound by its limitations. For those who do not believe in a spiritual realm, reality is defined by earthly concerns—life exists only within the human lifespan, and priorities are centred on material existence.
However, when a person undergoes a spiritual awakening, they become aware of a deeper reality—a world beyond the physical. It is as though they step into a spiritual realm where spirits exist, where deceased loved ones remain present, and where divine beings communicate, guide, and send messages. The spiritual realm is not only real but actively uses everything in our earthly lives to communicate with us if we are attuned to understanding this.
The Purpose of Earthly Existence
I have come to realize that our earthly existence holds a purpose beyond what we can imagine. Each soul embarks on its own unique journey. Some souls discover their purpose on their journey throughout life. Some souls don’t. Some meander through life with no understanding of their purpose or meaning, and have no spiritual awareness, whereas some souls do. Some individuals find fulfilment in being of service to others, or being creative for the benefit of others, or some see value in showing their love and appreciation to others. Others enjoy leadership roles while others are explorers or scientists. The span of this is wide ranged and individuals discover their value and contributions. Some on the other hand reach a profound understanding of their place in the universe and experience complete happiness in that realization. And yet some, experience a nothingness, only pain, discomfort, emotional turmoil and no desire to live.
Some souls experience only brief human lives, their time seemingly cut short without explanation. Yet this reminds me that a soul’s purpose is never limited to the individual. A soul can have a ripple effect on the lives of others. Whenever a soul transitions into the afterlife, it leaves an imprint on earth that can live on for decades and have influence over others.
I am reminded of my brother, who passed away from cancer at the age of six when I was sixteen. While it seemed senseless that his life was cut short, he left a profound ripple effect on many—most notably my parents, relatives, sisters, and me. His soul carries its purpose well into the future and even into this present moment. And his spirit lives on.
From my point of view, I feel drawn with purpose to assist those who desire to travel down a road less travelled of spiritual awakening. My purpose becomes one of assisting others to recognise the spiritual world and to assist them in their journey.
The Human Struggle and the Spiritual Realm
Despite the profound nature of spiritual growth, the world itself often resists true advancement. History repeats itself—wars rage on, people fight over resources, suffering persists, and famine and genocide remain present. Nations threaten one another, individuals harm each other, and humanity remains divided in countless ways.
Yet, through all of this, the spiritual world remains ever-present. It does not judge humanity but simply exists beyond the chaos. From my perspective, cultivating spiritual awareness from our earthly existence adds value and clarity and allows us to be in touch with our true self and gives us insight into a spiritual realm allowing us to experience our infinity of existence. Our human life, by contrast, is temporary, and apart from discovering advancements in science, the human life is about survival, discovery in science, community, competitiveness, human love to name just a few.
Challenges to Spiritual Awakening
While many believe in the transformative power of spiritual awakening, scepticism persists. Some view it as a psychological response, an illusion of purpose, or a detachment from material reality. Others struggle to reconcile spiritual experiences with scientific reasoning, personal doubts, or societal expectations.
Yet, I have realized that none of these perspectives diminish the significance of my own awakening. It is highly unlikely that scepticism can fully grasp the profound nature of a spiritual transformation without experiencing it firsthand.
Reflecting on my journey, I recognize that my awakening has not emerged from trauma, nor is it an attempt to justify a belief system. It has been shaped by synchronicities and events that have guided me toward deeper revelations. Those who undergo this transformation understand that it comes independently—separate from religious doctrine, psychological phenomena, or detachment from life’s realities.
### The Path to Enlightenment
Despite scepticism, life on Earth consists of diverse experiences, each playing a role in the soul’s journey. Every human being is in the right place at the right time, living out their unique path—whether or not they recognize their purpose. The ultimate gift is to discover our purpose within our earthly existence. Some individuals may never realize their spiritual calling, remaining tethered to material concerns and unable to perceive the spiritual realm. A true awakening leads to the release of earthly attachments and sets the soul on a path toward enlightenment. When enlightenment occurs, death is no longer feared—it becomes a doorway to a greater home, a realm of eternal love. Encounters with deceased loved ones, divine love, and bliss illuminate the reality
